TBMA Submits Additional Comments to the IRS on Proposed FASIT Regulations

The Bond Market Association (TBMA)* provides additionalcomments to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) on proposed Financial Asset Securitization Investment Trust (FASIT) regulations. TBMA’s initial comments we filed with the IRS on May 19, 2000. Since the last correspondence, TBMA has become aware of several additional issues that were likely to affect the use of FASITs to securitize commercial mortgage loans.

*SIFMA is the product of a merger between the Securities Industry Association (SIA) and The Bond Market Association (TBMA) in 2006.
