SIFMA provides comments to the U.S. House of Representatives Speaker of the House and the Minority Leader opposing The Commodity Markets Transparency and Accountability Act, H.R.6604. SIFMA believes that the legislation will reduce liquidity in U.S. futures and derivatives markets, which would increase the price of energy commodities. SIFMA shares its concern that the bill reduces firms ability to hedge and manage risk.
