DOL Under Section 408(b)(2) of ERISA

SIFMA provides comments to the Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) of the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) on final regulation to be issued by DOL under Section 408(b)(2) of The Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA). SIFMA shares concerns that as of the date of this letter the regulation has not been published in the Federal Register and service providers have insufficient information on how, and to what extent, it will be changed from the interim final.  SIFMA urges DOL to issue a statement that the effective date of the final regulation will be no earlier than 12 to 18 months from its publication in the Federal Register.
