Multi Product Platform

SIFMA provides comments to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority’s (FINRA’s) proposed amendments to FINRA Rule 6730, Release No. 34-65459; File No. SR-FINRA-2011-053.  The proposed amendments would permit FINRA to migrate all other TRACE-Eligible Securities to the Multi Product Platform (MPP).  SIFMA argues that the February 6, 2012, implementation date of the MPP conversion is too aggressive since there is not adequate time for firms to properly test and build systems for the conversion.   SIFMA suggests the implementation date be moved to the end of the first quarter 2012, and asks for clarity on certain operational aspects of the conversion.
