The Legal and Regulatory Subcommittee of the Operations Committee of SIFMA provides comments to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on The Depository Trust Company’s proposed amendments to its rules to update, standardize, and restate the requirements for the Fast Automated Securities Transfer Program (FAST).  SIFMA fully supports the proposal since the changes will accommodate the expected increase in volume and value of securities that will be processed by the transfer agents; improve the processing technology; and enhance overall processing controls.
