Joint FASB/IASB Financial Statement Presentation Project

The Dealer Accounting Committee of SIFMA provides comments to the Financial Accounting Stability Board (FASB) on the joint FASB/International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) financial statement presentation project (FSPP).  SIFMA requests that the FASB “fast track” the presentation of discontinued operations from the FSPP.  SIFMA believes the fast-tracking would provide expedited relief from the broad requirement to present discontinued operations whenever a “component of an entity” is disposed.
