Personal Data Protection in the European Union

SIFMA provides comments to the European Commission on personal data protection in the European Union (EU). SIFMA notes that its members are accustomed to, and fully support, the data protection principles contained in the current EC Directive 95/46/EC.  SIFMA shares its experience and expertise to help improve the current European regime, including recommendations to harmonize existing data privacy rules in Europe.
