Legislation Related to Section 716 of the Dodd-Frank Act

SIFMA provides comments to the U.S House Financial Services Subcommittee on Capital Markets and Government Sponsored Enterprises supporting H.R. 1838, which would repeal a provision of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (Dodd-Frank Act) prohibiting any Federal bailout of swap dealers or participants (Section 716).  SIFMA shares its belief on why the section is unnecessary and should be eliminated.
