SIFMA and other associations provide comments to the members of the U.S. House of Representatives Education and Labor Committee on the 401(k) Fair Disclosure for Retirement Security Act of 2007 (H.R.3185).  The groups do not support the legislation in its current form, and share their observations and recommendations on the bill.  The groups concerns include provisions relating  to mandated “unbundling,” a mandated investment option, and mandated disclosure about portfolio trading commissions. SIFMA co-signed the letter with: the American Council of Life Insurers, The Financial Services Roundtable, the Financial Services Forum, the Investment Adviser Association, and the Investment Company Institute.
