The Securities Industry Association (SIA)* provides comments to the members of the U.S. Senate urging their support for Trade Promotion Authority (TPA) legislation. SIA believes that TPA not only requires the President and Congress together to set trade negotiating priorities, but affords the U.S. the best policy tool it has to secure market opening measures that bolster economic growth, spur job creation, and benefit U.S. consumers and investors.

*SIFMA is the product of a merger between the Securities Industry Association (SIA) and The Bond Market Association (TBMA) in 2006.
