SIA Submits Comments to the US Department of Treasury and the IRS on the Registration of Certain Corporate Tax Shelters

The Securities Industry Association (SIA)* provides comments to the U.S. Department of Treasury (Treasury)and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) on new Treasury regulations requiring the registration of corporate tax shelters under Section 6111(d) of the Internal Revenue Code (IRC), and requiring the maintenance of lists of investors in potentially abusive tax shelters under IRC Section 6112.
