SIA Submits Comments to the US Department of Treasury and the Federal Reserve on Merchant Bank Activities

The Securities Industry Association (SIA)* provides comments to the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve(Federal Reserve) on theirfinal rule governing merchant banking activities of financial holding companies (FHCs). SIA continues to have serious concerns about the final merchant banking rule.

*SIFMA is the product of a merger between the Securities Industry Association (SIA) and The Bond Market Association (TBMA) in 2006.
