SIA Submits Comments to the SEC on the Status of Intermarket Linkage Plan

The Securities Industry Association (SIA)* provides comments to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) supporting the establishment of an options market linkage and to clarify its position with respect to Rule 11Ac1-7, the trade-through disclosure rule for options. SIA expresses their appreciation to the SEC for extending the compliance deadline for this rule, but notes if the exchanges fail to build this linkage by April 1, 2002, brokerage firms should not be burdened with an unfair and unworkable disclosure rule.
