The Securities Act Concepts and their Effects on Capital Formation

The Capital Markets Committee of the Securities Industry Association (SIA)* provides comments to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on the Securities Act of 1933 (Securites Act) concepts and their effects on capital formation, File No. S7-19-96. SIA addresses the Securities Act concepts which need urgent attention and reform, and recommends revisions which could, and should, be implemented as soon as possible.
*SIFMA is the product of a merger between the Securities Industry Association (SIA) and The Bond Market Association (TBMA) in 2006.
