SIA Submits Comments to the SEC on the Nasdaq’s Proposed Separation from the NASD

The Securities Industry Association (SIA)* provides comments to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) onan National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. (NASD)proposal relating to NASDAQ’s proposed separation from the NASD and the establishment of the NASD Alternative Display Facility (ADF), File No. SR-NASD-2001-90.SIA notes that as a conceptual matter theADF proposal raises broad areas of concern.

*SIFMA is the product of a merger between the Securities Industry Association (SIA) and The Bond Market Association (TBMA) in 2006.
