Marketing of 529 College Savings Plans

The Securities Industry Association (SIA)* provides comments to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on proposed Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB) interpretive guidance under Rule G-17 relating to customer protection obligations concerning the the marketing of 529 College Savings Plans (529 Plans), Release No. 34-53715, File No. SR-MSRB-2006-03. SIA describes the progress relating to the sources of information relating to 529 plans.
