SIA Submits Comments to the SEC on the Effects of Decimal Trading in Subpennies

The Securities Industry Association (SIA)* provides comments to theSecurities and Exchange Commission on the SEC Concept Release: Request for Comment on the Effects of Decimal Trading in Subpennies, Securities Exchange Act Release No. 44568; File No. S7-14-01. SIA believes the SEC should not permit of equity securities in subpenny increments, and that the SEC or Congress should establish a minimum price variation (MPV) for the trading and quoting of equity securities that is not less than a penny.
