SIA Submits Comments to the SEC on the Corporate Financing Rule and Shelf Offering of Securities

The Capital Markets Committee of the Securities Industry Association (SIA)*provide comments to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)on a proposed rule change by the National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. (NASD)relating to the corporate financing rule and shelf offering of securities, File No. SR-NASD-2004-22.SIA’s primary concern is that the proposal further complicates the rules at a time when the SEC is working towards the simplification and automation of the shelf offering process.
