SIA Submits Comments to the SEC on Reporting Related to Year 2000 Preparedness

The Securities Industry Association (SIA)* provides comments to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on a proposed rule relating to reports to be made by certain broker-dealers regarding Year 2000 preparedness, File No. S7-7-98. While supportive of the proposal, SIA recommends a number of modifications which are designed to improve the industry’s reporting of Year 2000 readiness.
