SIA Submits Comments to the SEC on Proxy Voting by Investment Advisers

The Investment Adviser and Investment Company Committees of the Securities Industry Association (SIA)* provide comments to the Securities and Exchange Commission(SEC)onproposed rules on proxy voting by investment advisers and registered management investment companies, File No. S7-36-02. SIA recommends the SEC give further consideration to certain aspects of the proposal including possible recordkeeping burdens and other potential unintended consequences.
