SIA Submits Comments to the SEC on Proposals Relating to Mediation of Disputes

The Securities Industry Association (SIA)*provides comments to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on proposed rules regarding mediation of disputes and various procedural matters, Release No. 34-40524; File No. SR-NYSE 98-27. SIA strongly supports the proposals and also, subject to certain qualifications and clarifications, supports the proposed new rules pertaining to mediation and administrative conferences.
*SIFMA is the product of a merger between the Securities Industry Association (SIA) and The Bond Market Association (TBMA) in 2006.
