SIA Submits Comments to the SEC on Possible Modifications to Proposed Regulation FD

The Securities Industry Association (SIA)* provides comments to a Commissioner of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in response to the Commissioner’s recent speech where the Commissioner suggested some possible modifications to proposed Regulation FD, and invited responses to the suggestions. SIA responds to the Commissioner’s request with observations and recommendation including the observation that proposed Regulation FD conflicts with the U.S. Supreme Court’s views in Dirks v. SEC.
