SIA Submits Comments to the SEC on Next Business Day Settlement in the US Securities Markets

The T+1 Steering Committee of the Securities Industry Association (SIA)* provides comments to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) urging theSEC to review certain existingrules before implementing next business day settlement in the U.S. securities markets. SIA identifies some of the rules and regulations that must be considered or revised to accommodate next business day securities settlements, and other rules and regulations that might warrant reconsideration in a next day business settlement environment.

*SIFMA is the product of a merger between the Securities Industry Association (SIA) and The Bond Market Association (TBMA) in 2006.
