SIA Submits Comments to the SEC on NASDAQ’s Filing to Register as a National Securities Exchange

The Securities Industry Association (SIA) provides comments to theSecurities and Exchange Commission (SEC)the Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc. Notice of Filing of Application for Registration as a national securities exchange under Section 6 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 (Exchange Act), Release No. 34-44396, File No. 10-131. SIA requests an extension of the comment period for Form 1 from July 30, 2001 until October 31, 2001.
