The Market Structure Committee of the Securities Industry Association (SIA)* provides comments to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on the SEC’s request for comments on issues relating to market fragmentation and proposed recision of New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) Rule 390, Securities Exchange Act Release No. 34-42450; File No. SR-NYSE-99-48. SIA supports improved electronic linkages between market centers, and price priority across market centers. In addition, SIA believes greater disclosure of order routing practices and the quality of trade executions by market centers may be desirable.
