SIA Submits Comments to the SEC on Certain Restrictions for Initial Equity Public Offerings

The Syndicate Committee of the Securities Industry Association (SIA)* provides comments to theSecurities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on a proposal relating to restrictions on the purchase and sale of initial equity public offerings, File No. SR-NASD-99-60. SIA urges the SEC and the National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc (NASD) to complete the rulemaking process expeditiously and adopt the proposal at the earliest possible time.

*SIFMA is the product of a merger between the Securities Industry Association (SIA) and The Bond Market Association (TBMA) in 2006.
