SIA Submits Comments to the SEC on a Proposal to Disclose Portfolio Holdings and Fees of Registered Investment Companies

The Securities Industry Association (SIA)* provides comments to the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) on a proposal to disclose portfolio holdings and fees of registered investment companies, Release No. IC-25870, File No. S7-51-02. SIA agrees with the SEC that a fund would be required to disclose in its shareholder reports the cost in dollars of the fund’s actual expenses per $10,000 of investment in the fund for the applicable reporting period. SIA believes that this proposal provides investors with meaningful expense disclosure without adding undue costs and complexities that would have been added through individualized disclosures.
