The Securities Industry Association (SIA)* provides comments to the President’s Critical Infrastructure Protection Board (PCICB) on the PCICB’s draft strategy to secure cyberspace. The PCICB’s draft strategy describes initiatives to secure U.S. information systems against deliberate, malicious disruption and to foster an increased national resiliency. SIA believes the PCICB outlines appropriately the relative responsibilities of the private and public sectors in securing cyberspace. SIA notes that the level of detail for some of the recommendations are troublesome and may need to be reconsidered.
