SIA Submits Comments to the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets on In-House Matching

The Securities Industry Association (SIA)* provides comments to the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (the Authority)on the Authority’s position paper on in-house matching. While SIA agrees with the Authority’s conclusion that in-house matching of agency orders and principal trades should be allowed, they are, among other things,troubled by the conditions that the Authority seeks to impose on activity with retail clients.
*SIFMA is the product of a merger between the Securities Industry Association (SIA) and The Bond Market Association (TBMA) in 2006.
