SIA Submits Comments to the NASDR on Implementing New Procedures

The Securities Industry Association (SIA)* provides comments to the National Association of Securities Dealers Regulation, Inc (NASDR) on implementing procedures to comply with the limitations on the receipt of non-cash compensation from offerors in connection with the sale of mutual funds and variable products, as described in NASD Notice to Members 98-75 and the amendments to Conduct Rules 2820 and 2830. SIA offers its observations and recommendations on the proposal and seeks clarification of the proposed scope of various provisions.
