SIA Submits Comments to the Hague Conference on the Dispositions of Securities Held Through Indirect Holdings

The Operations Committee of the Securities Industry Association (SIA)* provides comments to the Permanent Bureau of the Hague Conference on Private International Law regarding a proposed convention on law applicable to dispositions of securities held through indirect holdings. SIA focuses their recommendations on what they believe to be the most difficult task confronting the delegates is how to determine the “place” of the relevant intermediary.
