SIA Submits Comments to the G-30 on The Global Thirty Report on Global Clearing and Settlement

The Securities Industry Association (SIA)* provides comments tothe Group of Thirty (G-30)on the Global Thirty Report on Global Clearing and Settlement. SIA believes in particular that the harmonization of messaging standards, communication protocols, and reference data standards (G-30 recommendations 2 and 3) constitutes the linchpin of the effective cross-border communication, and as such, the implementation of these communications should be prioritized. SIA provides recommendations on how to build a strengthened, interoperable global network, mitigate risk and to improve governance.
