SIA Submits Comments to the FTC on Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act Privacy Safeguards Rule

The Securities Industry Association (SIA)*provides comments tothe Federal Trade Commissions(FTC) on proposals to develop the administrative, technical, and physical Safeguards Rule to protect consumer records andinformation in accordance withthe Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLB Act). SIA highlights concerns that are common to all of the regulations to protect consumer information that have been issued or proposed by the regulatory agencies under the GLB Act.
