SIA Submits Comments to the Federal Reserve and the US Department of Treasury on Real Estate Brokerage and Financial Holding Company Activities

The Securities Industry Association (SIA)* provides comments to the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve Systemand the U.S. Department of Treasury on a proposal regarding real estate brokerage and management activities of financial holding companies, Docket No. R-1091. SIA strongly supports the proposal and urges the agencies to approve these activities, which are permitted under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLB Act).

*SIFMA is the product of a merger between the Securities Industry Association (SIA) and The Bond Market Association (TBMA) in 2006.
