SIA Submits Comments to the CSRC on Chinese-Foreign Cooperative Joint Venture Securities Companies

The International Trade and Investment Policy Committee of the Securities Industry Association (SIA)* provides comments to the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC)on its draft version for Rules on Examining and Approving Chinese-Foreign Cooperative Joint Venture Securities Companies, published December 12, 2001. SIA strongly believes that opening the draft regulations for public comment is the best avenue for which to promote the mostfair and efficient markets for investors and issuers. SIA offers some brief specific comments on the proposed regulations.
