The Capital Steering Committee of the Securities Industry Association (SIA)* provides comments to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) on alternative market risk and credit risk capital charges for futures commission merchants (FCMs)and specified foreign currency forward and inventory capital charges. SIA believes that other CFTC regulations should be amended in light of the framework for Consolidated Supervised Entities (CSE) that address the risk assessment recordkeeping and risk assessment reporting requirements for FCMs.
