The Securities Industry Association (SIA)* provides comments to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System (Federal Reserve), and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) on Joint Notice of Proposed Rulemaking: Qualification Requirements for Transactions in Certain Securities, OCC Docket No. 96-29, and Federal Reserve Docket No. R-0950. SIA offers its observations and recommendations on the joint proposal.
