SIA Submits Comments to a US House Subcommittee on ERISA Modernization Legislation

The Securities Industry Association (SIA)* provides comments to the U.S. House Education & Workforce Subcommittee on Employer-Employee endorsing The Comprehensive Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) Modernization Act of 2000, and its two companion bills, The Retirement Security Advise Act and The ERISA Modernization Act. SIA believes the bills would provide a much needed update to the prohibited transaction rules of ERISA.

*SIFMA is the product of a merger between the Securities Industry Association (SIA) and The Bond Market Association (TBMA) in 2006.
