SIA and TBMA Submit Comments to the Federal Reserve on Proposed Revisions to Regulations T, U and X

The Securities Industry Association (SIA)* and The Bond Market Association (TBMA)* provide comments to the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve on proposed revisions to Regulations T, U and X to implement amendments to Section 7 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 (the Exchange Act) effected by the National Securities Markets Improvement Act of 1996 (NSMIA), Docket No. R-0995. The groups strongly support the efforts to update federal margin regulations to address the continuing evolution of the domestic and international financial markets; and offer their observations and recommendations relating to the proposal.
