SIA and TBMA Submit Comments to Multiple Federal Agencies on Sound Practices to Strengthen the US Financial System

The Securities Industry Association (SIA)* and The Bond Market Association (TBMA)* provide comments to the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System (Federal Reserve), the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and the New York State Banking Department on the draft interagency document,White Paper on Sound Practices to Strengthen the Resilience of the U.S. Financial System. The white paper reflects the preliminary conclusions of the Federal Reserve, OCC, SEC and New York State Banking Department with respect to factors affecting the resilience of the critical markets and activities in the U.S. financial system in the event of a wide-scale economic disruption. The groups offer their observations and recommendations on the white paper.
