
Xihao Hu
Senior Vice President, Controller and Chief Accountant, TD Bank Group
Xihao Hu is Senior Vice President, Controller and Chief Accountant at TD Bank Group (TDBG). In this role, Xihao is responsible for TD’s accounting as well as financial, regulatory, statutory, and ESG reporting. He also oversees the 1B function for Enterprise Finance, and the Product Control and Finance Operation teams for TD Securities.
Xihao joined TD in 2010 as the Chief Accountant for TDBG. Throughout his tenure with the bank, he has also held the roles of TDBG Chief Auditor, Chief Financial Officer at TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank, and Chief Financial Officer at TD Securities. He assumed his current role in December 2024. Prior to joining TD, Xihao was a partner with Deloitte in its Assurance and Advisory practice.
An advocate for giving back to the community, Xihao serves on the Jefferson Health New Jersey Board—Jefferson Health is the largest health system in the Philadelphia region—and on the Bemidji State University (BSU) Alumni & Foundation Board of Directors. Until December 2024, Xihao had led TD’s enterprise Visible Minority pillar under the Inclusion and Diversity Leadership Council (IDLC) for five years, and he has been TD’s ambassador for both Ascend US and Ascend Canada, which promote the growth and advancement of Asian professionals in corporate North America.
Xihao completed the CFO Leadership Program at Harvard Business School and the Asian American Executive Program at Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He also holds a Bachelor of Science majoring in Accounting from Bemidji State University.
