
Waqaas Fahmawi
Waqaas Fahmawi is Director & Associate General Counsel at Bank of America, where his primary responsibilities include financial services regulation under the Dodd-Frank Act. Waqaas joined Bank of America from GE Capital, where he was Corporate Treasury counsel focusing on regulatory reform implementation and GE’s derivatives relationships and activity. Prior to joining GE, Waqaas was counsel at Susquehanna International Group, LLP, where he his practice focused on equity, commodity, and fixed income derivatives, as well as securities financing, transactions. Waqaas was an associate at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP, where he advised hedge funds, financial institutions, and corporates on fixed income and equity-linked derivatives transactions. Waqaas received his bachelor’s degree from Harvard College and his J.D. from Columbia Law School.
