Travis J. Iles

Travis J. Iles currently serves as the Securities Commissioner of Texas. Prior to this position, he acted as the agency’s Deputy Commissioner. Travis was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2002 after completing undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Iowa. Travis began working for the Texas State Securities Board in October 2001 as a staff attorney in the Inspections & Compliance Division. In 2004, he began serving in the Enforcement Division and later took the position of Assistant Director in 2009. Travis routinely adjudicated matters before the State Office of Administrative Hearings, served as a Special Assistant District Attorney for various Texas counties for trial and appellate matters, and worked closely with federal law enforcement and assisted their trial teams. He is on the North American Securities Administrators Association advanced litigation training faculty, federal legislation committee, has served on its Board of Directors, and currently Chairs the NASAA Broker Dealer Section.
