Theresa Cagle-Fry

Theresa assists financial advisors in providing strategies and solutions that help their clients achieve personal retirement goals. This includes providing financial advisors with ongoing marketing support and technical expertise for IRAs, employer-sponsored retirement plans, Social Security and education-savings plans. In her role of subject-matter expert, she also develops and conducts in-person and web-based training programs and educational seminars.

Other responsibilities include collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on the development of policies and procedures to navigate the complex and ever-changing regulatory and legislative environment impacting the retirement market. She is also a long-standing member of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) Retirement and Savings Committee.

Theresa has held multiple retirement-focused leadership positions during her 40 years in the retirement and financial services industry. She joined Benjamin F. Edwards in August 2011. Prior to her 15 years with Benjamin Edwards, she spent 11 years each at A.G. Edwards and Edward Jones and two years with State Farm Insurance. These roles have included product development, marketing and operations for retirement products and services. While at A.G. Edwards, she served as the firm’s media spokesperson on retirement issues, appearing frequently on CNBC and quoted in USA Today, Money and BusinessWeek. More recently with Benjamin Edwards, she was quoted in U.S. News & World Report and GoBankingRates.com, which syndicates for YahooFinance, Nasdaq and MSN.

Theresa is a graduate of Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses as well as variable, life and health insurance licenses, and long-term care certification.
