Tammy Bawnik

Tammy Bawnik is a Managing Director in the Legal Department at UBS Financial Services Inc..  She heads a team of lawyers that provide legal expertise and guidance in Operations, New Accounts, Retirement Plans and Services, Insurance and Annuities and in counseling UBS branches across the country.  She is the firm’s lead ERISA expert and with that background is responsible for advising the business with respect to implementation of Regulation Best Interest.

Tammy began her legal career at the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation in Washington, D. C. and later relocated to New York where she was an associate with Weil, Gotshal and Manges before joining UBS (then PaineWebber Incorporated) as in house counsel covering the Retirement Plans product area.

Tammy  graduated magna cum laude from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and is admitted to the bar in Maryland and New York.
