Sonia Banerji

Sonia Banerji is Citi’s lead employment lawyer and manages the Global HR Legal team. Sonia serves as a go-to advisor to Citi senior leadership on employment matters. In addition, Sonia leads Citi’s teams responsible for the investigation of serious employee concerns and for the development and management of HR Policy. Prior to joining Citi in December 2024, Sonia served in senior in-house roles at PayPal and Morgan Stanley. Sonia received her law degree from Harvard Law School in 1998. Sonia recently relocated from San Francisco to New York.
