Shanella Rajanayagam

Trade Economist, HSBC

Shanella Rajanayagam joined HSBC in August 2018 as a trade economist, with her work focusing on shipping disruption, trade policy developments, and longer-term trends in trade such as supply chain relocation. She joined HSBC from the UK Treasury where she worked on a range of trade policy issues related to Brexit. Prior to that, she worked as an economist at the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Shanella holds a Master’s degree in Economics, along with two Bachelor’s degrees from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.
