Samantha Stogsdill is the Global Head of Equities Settlements, Clearing, and Asset Services at BMO Capital Markets. She oversees end-to-end equities settlements, clearing, and asset servicing operations across multiple regions, with responsibility for risk management, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
In her role, Samantha leads strategic initiatives to enhance automation, scalability, and service delivery, and has been actively involved in advancing the use of analytics, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities across her teams to improve efficiency, controls, and operational resilience.
Prior to joining BMO, Samantha was Director of Operations at Clearpool Execution Services, where she led operational workflows and post-trade integration and played a key role in the firm’s successful acquisition by BMO.
With over 30 years of experience in financial services, Samantha brings deep expertise in clearing and settlements and has led global teams through complex regulatory change, technology transformation, and evolving market structures.
Samantha is a member of the SIFMA Operations and Technology Committee and the Financial Women’s Association (FWA), and she is a recipient of the Women in Finance Award for Excellence in Operations for her leadership and contributions to innovation in financial operations.
