Samantha Stogsdill

Samantha Stogsdill is the Global Head of Equities Settlements, Clearing, and Asset Services at BMO Capital Markets. She is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end equities settlements process, clearing functions, and asset servicing operations across multiple regions. Her role includes managing risk, optimizing operational efficiency, and ensuring regulatory compliance while driving strategic initiatives to enhance automation, scalability, and service delivery.

Prior to joining BMO, Samantha was the Director of Operations at Clearpool Execution Services, where she played a key role in managing operational workflows and integrating post-trade functions. She was instrumental in streamlining processes and ensuring a seamless transition when Clearpool was acquired by BMO.

With over 29 years of experience in the financial services industry, Samantha has developed deep expertise in clearing, Settlements and is committed to providing excellence in client services, ensuring seamless post-trade execution and operational support that meets evolving needs. She has led teams through complex regulatory changes, technology transformations, and industry shifts, always with a focus on risk mitigation and operational resilience.

Beyond her corporate role, Samantha is an active industry leader. She is a member of the SIFMA Operations and Technology Committee and the Financial Women’s Association (FWA), where she contributes to shaping industry best practices and mentoring the next generation of finance professionals. She is also a recipient of the prestigious Women in Finance Award for Excellence in Operations, recognizing her contributions to innovation and leadership in financial operations.
