
Rachel Nelson
Deputy General Counsel-– Blockchain/Crypto, Fidelity
Rachel Nelson is Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel – Blockchain/Crypto with Fidelity. Ms. Nelson leads a team with global reach and responsibility for Fidelity’s digital asset activities, including its crypto asset custody and trading platform. The team advises on the various state and federal regulatory regimes implicated by digital asset activities, including laws governing securities, commodities, money transmission and banking.
Prior to joining Fidelity, Ms. Nelson held leadership positions at three crypto exchanges after working at a global bank and at two large international law firms.
Ms. Nelson is a graduate of Stanford University and Penn Law School, from which she graduated magma cum laude. She lives in Los Angeles with her partner Jon, son Arlo, some chickens and a rabbit.
